CPC Kansas City 2005

Moving focus to Kansas City, MO, Steve attended this conference near the headquarters of Hallmark. Needless to say, it was a "crowning" adventure. Plus, there was lots of physical activity walking miles between hotels. Oh, and Steve was almost killed too!

CPC Kansas City 2005

  Part 1: No football?
Where do you go if you want to miss a Chicago Rush home game and the Super Bowl? Kansas City, of course! Perhaps the food, specifically barbecue, will be good.

Part 2: Kansas City is very brown
What exactly is "Mid-Continent International Airport"? And why it is in Kansas? Hard to believe that 2 professional sports teams call this city home.

  Part 3: The Link
What do you do when you have two hotels that are nowhere near each other? You connect them with a glass-enclosed walkway and say that they are "nearby."

  Part 4: Rain
Hey, what a surprise, it rains in Kansas City too! It's a good thing that there is absolutely no nightlife or stuff to do, because you might get wet!

Part 5: Super Bowl via eZone
This just in... women might actually be interested in football too! Yes, I know this is quite a surprise, but our official scientific studies prove it! And sorry Eagles...

  Part 6: Attendance is down
Even though a bunch of factors hurt the participation in the eZone, it was possible to meet or surpass our response rates from the Anaheim conference.

Part 7: I know Jack. You aren't him.
According to Steve, Jack Stack can't stack up to Jack's Bar-B-Que. But that's OK, because his boss is now and the conference, so he better pretend like he's working!

  Part 8: Snow
First we had rain. Now snow blankets Kansas City. But it's hard to focus when you have the annoying, talentless, hack band known as Jump 5 performing at the same time.

Part 9: The Bus Ride from Hell
"I'm going to say this right now... Kansas City is a bad place to be. I don't know if I ever want to go back. It's wretched." Steve doesn't like death.
